~ Following The Breadcrumbs ~
.
Brave New Blog has begun 2023 with a series of blog posts that functions as Breadcrumbs in the effort to piece together an understanding of the Path we are on - And to leave a Breadcrumb Trail that leads to paths we can take towards solutions. A better way leading to a better world leading to a better future for us all.
.
Our first blog post makes the case that we should make time for reading climate change literature:
CLIMATE CHANGE LITERATURE SHOULD BE REQUIRED READING FOR US ALL

.

Our second blog post quotes climate scientist Kevin Anderson as he talks about the need for a paradigm shift away from our "economic assumptions around growth, value, and progress”:

IT'S TIME TO TURN OFF THE ROAD WE'RE ON - A CLIMATE CRISIS DRIVERS MANUAL

.

Our third blog post quotes Nate Hagens on how we are "Energy Blind", how we need a Systems Lens to see the path we're on as well as the appropriate paths we should be taking, how we will be forced into a Great Simplification because of not only climate change but also Resource Depletion, Global High Debt Levels, Overly Complex Supply Chains, and our High Consumption Lifestyles:

WE NEED TO CHART A NEW COURSE - HERE'S ONE WAY TO NAVIGATE CLIMATE CHANGE
.
This, our fourth blog post, aims not only to offer the above recap, but also to provide the following Breadcrumbs. They are but a few links to a few websites that discuss the intersectionality of our predicament...something to help us see the Big Picture:
.
Home | Consciousness of Sheep - By Tim Watkins, a social and economic scientist who focuses on Economy, Energy and Environment, mainly from a UK perspective.
.
Surplus Energy Economics | The home of the SEEDS economic model – Tim Morgan (wordpress.com) - By Dr Tim Morgan, former head of research at Tullett Prebon, and author of the 2013 book Life After Growth. His blog posts cover a wide range of topics, but his main interest is "in a radically new way of thinking about economics."
.
Our Finite World | Exploring how oil limits affect the economy - By Gail Tverberg, coming from a background as a casualty actuary, working in insurance forecasting.  Her research is "focused on figuring out how energy limits and the economy are really interconnected, and what this means for our future."
.
These may be but Breadcrumbs, but they are leading to a Breadbasket of solutions, one of which in particular we are leaving a trail towards...we are not ready to reveal it yet, but that's mostly because we are busy laying out and following the Breadcrumbs. But we are getting there - because all roads lead to climate change.
